 pecial moment for parents and families to publicly commit their child to t
 he Lord and dedicate themselves to raising their son or daughter according
  to God's Word. It is a celebration of gratitude\, faith\, and the respons
 ibility God has entrusted to parents to nurture their children in the know
 ledge and love of Christ.\nAt Encounter Church\, we believe children are a
  gift from the Lord\, and we are honored to partner with families as they 
 dedicate their little ones to Him.\n\n"Train up a child in the way he shou
 ld go\, and when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6\
 n\nWhat Is Baby Dedication?\nBaby Dedication is not salvation or baptism. 
 It is a public commitment made by parents and the church family to pray fo
 r\, encourage\, and help raise children in a Christ-centered home.\nJust a
 s Hannah dedicated Samuel to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:27–28) and Mary and Jo
 seph presented Jesus at the temple (Luke 2:22)\, we follow the biblical ex
 ample of dedicating our children to God and trusting Him with their lives.
 \nDuring the dedication\, parents commit to:\n\nRaising their child accord
 ing to God's Word\nModeling a life of faith and prayer\nTeaching their chi
 ld about Jesus\nPartnering with the church to help nurture their spiritual
  growth\n\nAs a church family\, we also commit to praying for and supporti
 ng these families as their children grow in faith.\nWho Can Participate?\n
 Baby Dedication is designed for newborns through approximately 6 years of 
 age. Whether your child is just a few weeks old or entering school\, we in
 vite your family to participate in this meaningful celebration.\nBaby Dedi
 cation vs. Baptism\nWhile both are significant milestones\, they serve dif
 ferent purposes.\nBaby Dedication is a parent's commitment to raise their 
 child for the Lord.\nBeliever's Baptism is a personal decision made by som
 eone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ and is publicly declaring 
 that faith through baptism.\nThroughout Scripture\, baptism follows an ind
 ividual's personal decision to believe in Christ (Acts 2:41). Because of t
 his\, we encourage children to be baptized when they are old enough to und
 erstand the Gospel\, personally place their faith in Jesus\, and choose to
  follow Him.\nWhat to Expect\nDuring Baby Dedication Sunday\, parents and 
 children will be invited to the front of the sanctuary where one of our pa
 stors will pray a special blessing over your family. This is a beautiful o
 pportunity to celebrate God's faithfulness with your church family and mar
